Assassin's Creed Calculator

The Assassin’s Creed Calculator is a new tool we developed here at Access The Animus with the objective of helping fans finding a recommended order in which to consume the myriad of story-based releases of the Assassin’s Creed franchise since 2007, based on their preferences and choices.
The tool will also tell you how much time you will need to read, watch or play the various releases based on how fast or slow you think you are at consuming them!
Here is how it works:
- After pushing the “Start” button at the end of the page you will be asked whether you are interested in reading the text-based releases of the franchise. Those will include novels, comics, illustrated books, websites, stories from defunct games etc.
- If you are interested in the text-based releases, you will be asked to estimate your reading speed by choosing “Fast” (calculated at approximately 1.5 pages per minute), “Medium” (calculated at 1 page per minute) or “Slow” (calculated at 0.5 pages per minute). If you are not interested in them you will move to the next question.
- The next question will ask you whether you are interested in playing the Assassin’s Creed games. Those will include the main games of the franchise, their DLCs and the games for mobile / portable platforms.
- If you are interested in playing the Assassin’s Creed games, you will be asked to input your gameplay style by choosing if you’d rather play the Main Story of the games, the Main Story plus extras (this includes Additional Quests/Unlockables), or if you prefer to be a completionist (this also includes the collectibles, the achievements and everything else the game has to offer). The estimated times for these gameplay styles are provided by and can be found at howlongtobeat.com/.
If you are not interested in the games you will move to the next question.
- The next question will ask you whether you are interested in watching / listening to the Assassin’s Creed video and audio media. Those will include short films, the Assassin’s Creed movie, audio dramas etc.
- At this point you will get the list – ordered by release day – of all the releases you chose to consume and the time needed to consume each of them. You will also be prompted to estimated how many hours a day you’d like to dedicate to Assassin’s Creed so that we can calculate how many days you will need to experience the Assassin’s Creed franchise at your pace!
- Lastly, all the releases you chose to consume will also have hyperlinks to the Assassin’s Creed Wiki or to selected Access The Animus pages so that if you didn’t know about a specific product, you can look it up and choose if you’re interested to proceed reading / playing / watching it! Some links have also direct access to the content, so you can experience it directly!
Don’t worry, it’s much easier than it sounds!
Lastly, some caveats:
- The tool is at an experimental phase so – although we hope it doesn’t – it might contain some errors. Please bear with us and if you spot any issue, please let us know at our email.
- The tool is dedicated to the story-based releases of the franchise, so don’t expect to find artbooks, magazines and the likes.
- The tool provides the list of products ordered by release date and not the in-lore chronological order because of the nature of most Assassin’s Creed products, that is a mix of historical and modern day narrative. Going by the in-lore chronological order would require users to go back and forth from product to product and might prevent them from experience the comparison between historical and modern day narrative of each release.
